KTM 790 Duke Launched In India At Rs 8.63 Lakhs

KTM has finally launched the 790 Duke 'Scalpel' in India with a price tag of Rs 8.63 lakhs (ex-showroom, India). KTM dealerships in India have already started accepting bookings and deliveries are expected to commence in the next couple of weeks. This model is brought to India via the CKD (Completely Knocked Down) route. 

The 790 Duke gets lot of electronic rider aids like our rider modes (Sport, Street, Rain, Track), engine brake control, adjustable wheelie control, an IMU-based 9-level traction control system and cornering ABS with Supermoto mode. The braking duties are taken care by twin 300mm discs in the front while the rear gets a 240mm single disc. This model also gets split-headlamp setup and a full-colour TFT display. The KTM 790 Duke is available in two colour schemes of orange and black. 

The 790 Duke 'Scalpel' is powered by 799cc, liquid-cooled, parallel-twin motor that produces 104.6PS at 9000rpm and 87Nm at 8000rpm. It comes paired to a 6-speed transmission with a bi-directional quickshifter offered as a standard. This will go against the reveals likesthe Triumph Street Triple S, the Yamaha MT-09, Suzuki GSX-S750 and Kawasaki Z900.
