Toyota has launched the Fourth-Generation Prius with tag price of Rs. 42.39 lakh (ex-showroom Chennai).  Apart from the 2017 Toyota Camry Hybrid, the Japanese carmaker has launched the all-new Prius in India same day. 

The Prius is by far the most renowned hybrid car worldwide. It has been in existence since 1997 and now Toyota launched the Fourth-Generation model. The new model gets new LED fog lamps, bigger 15-inch alloy wheels, LED headlamps with daytime running lights, 10-speaker JBL music system, new navigation system, wireless smartphone charger (it’ll work only if your phone supports the tech), seat heater for the front two seats, seven airbags and more.

This model have 1.8-liter 4-cylinder and 16-valve petrol engine with electric motor. This petrol engine delivers the power of 98 bhp (5200 rpm) and torque of 142Nm (4000rpm) and electric motor gives power of 72 Bhp and torque of 163 Nm. As per ARAI certification, this model gives mileage of 26.27 Kmpl.  Working together, the total power output goes up to 122PS. Transmission duties are handled by a continuously variable transmission (CVT) and power is sent to the front wheels only.
