Toyota has launched a new variant of the Innova Crysta in India – the Touring Sport with starting Delhi showroom price of Rs 17.79 lakh. A similar variant is already on sale in Indonesia, christened the Venturer. This trim does not get any mechanical upgrades and changes will be limited to cosmetic upgrades only. The new model will be based on the current Crysta’s top-spec Vx and ZX variant.  The special edition Innova Crysta Touring Sport with a six-seat layout wherein the second row will get captain seats.

In terms of design, the Touring Sport version will be offered with sporty body cladding on the bumpers, wheel arches, chrome element on the grille as well as the ORVMs, smoked headlamps, Black alloys and side skirts. As for the interior, the Innova Crysta Touring Sport will get premium leather upholstery along with a touchscreen infotainment system and a TFT multi-information display.

The Innova Touring Sport is available with same 2.8 liter & 2.4 liter diesel and 2.7 liter petrol engine options. The 2.4-litre diesel engine coupled to a 5-speed manual transmission puts out 150PS of maximum power and 343Nm of peak torque. The 2.8-litre diesel, on the other hand, is only available with an automatic gearbox and makes 174PS and 360Nm. And petrol engine generates 164bhp of power and 245Nm of torque. It transfers power to the rear wheels either through a 5-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic transmission. The Innova Touring Sport commands a premium of Rs 75,000 over the standard Innova Crysta.
