In recent times, Compact sedan market have huge growth in India. Almost every manufacturer have one compact sedan model. We will see the three best compact sedan models were launched in India on 2017.

Tata Tigor

Tata just changed the rear profile of the Tiago and converted into sedan. Any how the rear profile design for the sedan is impressive. And this model have lot of class leading features such as dual-tone front bumper, a revamped honeycomb grill, smoked projector lamps, LED-powered taillights, LED stop lamp placed above the rear windscreen, 15-inch alloy wheels for Petrol, 14-inch  alloy wheels for diesel, 5.0-inch Harman-engineered touchscreen infotainment and etc,.

This sedan is available with 1.2 liter petrol and 1.05 liter diesel engines as like Tiago. Significantly this new 1.0 liter Revotorq diesel engine was fully developed by Tata. The 1.2 liter Revotron petrol engine delivers 85 Bhp of power and 114 Nm of torque. And the other hand the 1.0 liter Revotorq diesel engine delivers 70 Bhp of power and 140 Nm of torque. THe petrol model have mileg of 20.3kmpl and diesel model have 24.7kmpl.

Maruti Suzuki Dzire

In front side, new hexagonal shaped front grille, new head lamps, new fog lamp room and in the rear side, new tail lights are brings an entirely new look for this model. Side body lines also slightly changed. Interior seems to be completely transferred with new dash board and new steering wheel. This is the first time Maruti Suzuki has gone for a flat-bottom steering wheel and rear AC vents. The new-gen Maruti Suzuki Dzire is 40mm wider, 40mm shorter in height and gets a 20mm longer wheelbase. The boot space can now gulp 378 litres of stuff, which is 62 litres more than before. The petrol variants will be 85kg lighter and the diesel trims will be 105kg lighter in weight.

Under the hood, Maruti Suzuki is offering the same set of petrol and diesel engines as before. While the 1.2-litre petrol motor is tuned to produce 83PS/113Nm, the 1.3-litre diesel generates 75PS/190Nm. These engines can either be had with a 5-speed manual or 5-speed automated manual transmission. While the petrol-powered manual and AMT variants can return 22.0kmpl, the manual and AMT diesels can clock 28.4kmpl of milage.

Hyundai Xcent

The aesthetic changes have mostly been carried out at the front and rear compared to other sides. The new Xcent features a brand new cascading hexagonal grille. It will become the new family identity for Hyundai models in the future. And front also  get  daytime running LEDs and  projector fog lamps. At the rear, the fecelifted model get dual-tone bumper with new set of rear lamps.  The interior in the top spec trim will be offered with a new seven-inch infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android auto with navigation, and multi-function steering wheel.

The Xcent petrol continues to draw power from the same 1.2-litre Kappa Dual VTVT engine that makes 83PS of max power and 114Nm of max torque. But, the Grand i10's previous 1.1-litre, U2 CRDi diesel engine is now updated to displace more volume. Power-torque figures have also improved. The 1.2-litre, U2 CRDi diesel engine makes 75PS of max power at 4,000rpm with the peak torque rated at 190Nm@1,750-2,250rpm. Diesel engine is available with 5-speed manual gear box and petrol is available with a choice of a 5-speed manual and a 4-speed automatic transmission.
