Maruti Suzuki S-Presso Unveiled Ahead Of Launch

Maruti Suzuki has unveiled the S-Presso micro-SUV on the company’s official website ahead of its official launch in India on September 30. The site reveals the exteriors and interiors of the mini SUV. This concept was first revealed in 2018 Delhi Auto Expo. The name S-PRESSO is inspired from the universally favourite coffee drink – Espresso, which stands out for it’s strong, robust and bold characteristics. S-PRESSO epitomises youthfulness, vitality and energy, which resonates with its target audience’s lifestyle as well.

Maruti Suzuki S-Presso is built on a light and rigid new-generation HEARTECT platform which was already used in Baleno, New gen Swift, Ignis and New gen Dzire. And, It will expect to be offered with a 1.0-litre three-cylinder petrol engine and can be had with either a five-speed manual or a five-speed AMT. The high bonnet gives the muscular look. And, it features a dual-tone bumper, conventional halogen headlamps, grill with four trapezoid inserts finished in chrome, steel wheels with covers, body-coloured door handles, ORVMs, C-shaped tail lights, integrated spoiler and rear dual-tone bumper. 

The S-Presso’s cabin features fabric upholstery and none of the seats offer adjustable headrests. And, it features 7-inch touchscreen infotainment, circular air vents and orange accents.  Maruti not revealed anay official details about specification. But as per leaked documents, the S-Presso will be available in nine variants with four trim levels. It is expected to be priced between Rs 4 lakh to Rs 5.5 lakh and compete with the likes of the Renault Kwid and Datsun redi-GO.
