MG SUV Now Officially Named As MG Hector

MG has announced that its first offering for the Indian market will be called the Hector. They also teased the SUV with an image via social media pages. We all know MG Motor was testing the one SUV model in India. This model expect to be powered by both petrol and diesel engines. And also this model expect to launched in India before end of this year.

The MG SUV will most likely be based on the same platform as the Baojun 530. MG Motor has already confirmed that this SUV will be powered by a 2.0-litre engine, which will be shared with the Jeep Compass. This model expect to come with five and seven seat options. 

SAIC Motor China officially announced their plans to enter the Indian automobile market and set up a fully-owned car manufacturing facility few days back. SAIC was also revealed that, they planning to enter India with introiduction of the iconic British sports car brand Morris Garages. The iconic British brand MG started operations in 1924 and was famous for its affordable sports cars. In April 2005, the MG Rover Group was purchased by Chinas oldest carmaker, Nanjing Automobiles. After NAC merged with SAIC (Shanghai Automotive Industry Corporation), MG had fallen under the SAIC Groups. Stay tuned  with Mowval for more information.
