Volvo XC40 SUV Launched In India At Rs 39.90 Lakhs

The Swedish carmaker Volvo has launched the all-new entry-level SUV, the XC40 at price tag of Rs 39.90 lakhs (ex-showroom India). The SUV is available in only one variant the R-Design trim. The XC40 is the smallest SUV coming from the Volvo. The first batch of 200 units of the XC40 have been allocated for India. The new XC40 is based on the new Compact Modular Architecture (CMA). 

Mechanically, this model gets the 2.0-litre four-cylinder, in-line, twin turbo diesel engine. Its delivers 187bhp of power and 400Nm of torque. This engine mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission that powers all four wheels via torque-on-demand all-wheel drive system. And this model have three drive modes - Sport, Comfort and Dynamic. The XC40 can do the 0-100kmph sprint in 7.9 seconds and hit a top speed of 210kmph.

This model gets lot of features include a 4-zone climate control, panoramic sunroof, adaptive cruise control, blind spot information system, 360-degree camera, park assist, drive modes, hill start assist and etc,. The new Volvo XC60 will give competition against rival like Mercedes-Benz GLA, Audi Q3 and BMW X1 in India.
