Volkswagen has introduced the Ameo Pace with new 1.0-litre MPI petrol engine at Rs 6.10 lakhs. The new 1.0-litre MPI engine replaces the 1.2-litre MPI unit in the existing Ameo. The new engine is smaller but a bit more powerful than the existing 1.2-litre MPI engine. This new 1.0-litre petrol engine borrowed from the recently launched Polo Pace. Few days back, Volkswagen had launched the Polo Pace with 1.0L Petrol Engine.

The new 1.0-litre MPI petrol engine delivers the power of 76Bhp and torque of 95Nm. And this power is transfered to wheels via 5 speed manual gear box. This new engine have negligible rise of 1PS in power and drop of 15Nm in torque. And also, this model available with same existing 1.5-litre TDI diesel engine that delivers 110 bhp (4000 rpm) and torque of 250Nm (1500-3000rpm). This diesel engine available with five speed manual and 7 speed DSG automatic gear box.

The new Ameo Pace gets black-finished outside rear view mirrors (ORVMs), a carbon-fibre finished rear spoiler, new alloy wheel design and some cosmetic updates. Similar to other models, the new Ameo gets all other accesseries.
