Force Motors has launched the updated Gurkha with Covai starting price of Rs 8.41 Lakh. The rugged machine now comes with both cosmetic as well as mechanical changes. This is available in a choice of 3-door Xplorer and 5-door Expedition editions. The Xplorer edition launched with price of Rs 9.36 Lakh and Expedition editions launched with price of Rs 8.41 Lakh. 

The 2017 Gurkha now entails differential locks on both axles, a new suspension setup and revamped steel front and rear bumpers with fog lamps. The Force Gurkha Xplorer comes in a 4x4 setup, whereas the Expedition edition gets a 4x2 arrangement. Both the versions are offered with an option of a soft-top and a hard-top. Under the hood, it gets a 2.6-litre turbocharged four-cylinder diesel motor that pumps out top power of 85PS and generates 230Nm of peak torque. And this engine now is BSIV compliant. It is mated to a new 5-speed manual transmission.
