Toyota has launched the Glanza (rebadged version of  Maruti Suzuki Baleno) premium hatchback in India at starting Chennai showroom price of Rs 7.29 lakh. The Glanza will only be available with a petrol engine. It is available in two variants -  G and V along with two transmission options - Manual and CVT. And, the Glanza will be the first car to come out of the Toyota-Suzuki agreement. The car is based on Maruti Suzuki’s Baleno, and it will be assembled in Maruti’s factory, on the same assembly line where the Baleno is assembled. 

Variant Wise Chennai Showroom Price Details Of Toyota Glanza:

• G - Manual (Advanced Li-Ion battery with ISG) - Rs 7.29 lakh
• V - Manual - Rs 7.68 lakh
• G - CVT - Rs 8.37 lakh
• V - CVT - Rs 9.0 lakh

The Glanza looks same as Baleno, the only different is brand. The Toyota Glanza gets the new reworked front grill and Toyota badge on interior and exterior, Otherwise remaining everything was identical to Maruti Baleno including interior color scheme. Mechanically, this model powered by same 1.2-litre K12B petrol engine available in Baleno. This engine generates 83bhp of power and 113Nm of torque. The base G variant of the Glanza is available with the 1.2-litre petrol engine with the mild-hybrid tech, in its manual avatar. This engine makes 90PS of power  and 113Nm torque. Bothe the engines are mated to 5-speed manual gearbox in addition to a CVT. The Glanza is not available with a diesel engine.

The Glanza will come with a 3 years/1,00,000km warranty from the factory and RSA (road side assistance) is free for the same period. And, all after sales service and spares will be taken care of by Toyota.
