Tata Motors has launched the personal segment Tigor EV with extended range at starting price of Rs12.59 lakh (ex-showroom Chennai). The model will be available in three trims including XE+, XM+ and XT+. The new Tigor EV will be available for both fleet and personal segment customers. Tata Motors had already launched the Tigor EV in India, however, it was only available for government institutions and fleet operators. According to ARAI, the Tigor EV has a range of 213km compared to the 142km before. 

Variant Wise Chennai Ex-showroom Prices Of Tata Tigor EV:

• XE+ - Rs 12.59 lakhs
• XM+ - Rs 12.76 lakhs
• XT+ - Rs 12.91 lakhs

For eligible entities the applicable FAME India Scheme Phase-II incentive is INR 2,15,000/- (Two Lakh Fifteen Thousand Only). As per the Gazette Notification for FAME India Scheme Phase-II eligible incentive is only applicable mainly to 4W (four wheeler) vehicles used for Public Transport or those registered for commercial purposes.

The Tata Tigor EV comes with 72V 3-phase AC induction motor, which is capable of churning out 41PS of max power and 105Nm of peak torque. Tata is also offering two driving modes: Drive and Sport. And, this model gets the 21.5kWh battery pack, compared to the 16.2kWh battery pack offered before. The vehicle is being offered with two charging ports, one for regular charging and the other for fast charging. Safety features such as dual airbags and ABS are standard; however, the base XE variant limited to nly a driver-side airbag and ABS. Tata Motors is offering a 3-year / 1,25,000km warranty on the Tigor EV.

The Tigor EV will be available in three colour options including Pearlescent White, Egyptian Blue and Roman Silver. For normal AC charging, it will take 11.5 hrs for 100% aharging. And, in DC fast charging, it will take 2hrs to charg 80%.
