Tata Tiago And Tigor Scores Four Star Rating In Global NCAP

The TATA Tigor/Tiago achieves four stars for adult occupant protection and three stars for child occupant protection. This result follows the recent five star achievement of the TATA Altroz and the previous five star result for the TATA Nexon. The Tigor/Tiago offers 2 frontal airbags as standard. Its structure and its footwell area were rated as unstable. Head and neck protection for adult occupants was good. Chest protection for passenger was adequate and marginal for the driver. Femur and knees showed marginal protection as there is risk of contracting dangerous structures behind the fascia.

The facelifted Tiago and Tigor get a revised front end with a new bumper, LED DRLs integrated into the new fog lamp housings, new grille and new headlamps. This models now gets the new flat bottom steering weel as like Altroz. The Tigor facelift comes with new push-button start/stop feature. And, the Tiago misses out the projector head lamps. And these models now available with some new color option also.  The facelifted Tiago is being offered in six colour options: Flame Red, Pearlescent White, Victory Yellow, Tectonic Blue, Pure Silver and Daytona Grey. 

Tata Tigor And Tiago now offered only with a BS6-compliant 1.2-litre, 3-cylinder petrol engine that makes 86PS of power and 113Nm of torque. It is available with the same transmission options: a 5-speed manual and AMT.
