Tata Motors christens The 7-Seater Version Of Harrier As Gravitas And Set For Launch In February 2020

Tata Motors has revealed the name of its upcoming 7-seater version of Harrier SUV to be Gravitas. This model will be launched in India in February 2020 probably at the Auto Expo. And, this model was earlier showcased as the Buzzard in 2019 Geneva Motor Show. 

This is the seven seater version of Tata Harrier and it is developed in Tata's new OMEGA (Optimal Modular Efficient Global Advanced) architecture, which is a derivative of the D8 platform that underpins the Land Rover Discovery Sport. And, this model developed based on Harrier. The rear portion of the new SUV fully re-designed. This models is powered by the same 2.0L KRYOTEC cutting- edge diesel engine, which was used in Harrier. But, the performance of the engine will be improved.  

Announcing the name of this new SUV, Mr. Mayank Pareek – President, Passenger Vehicle Business Unit, Tata Motors said, “We are elated to reveal the name of our latest SUV offering– the Tata GRAVITAS. With this, we are excited to offer to our customers, yet another state-of-the-art product. The GRAVITAS will up the ante in terms of luxury and performance and we are excited to launch this product to customers in February 2020. We are confident that the GRAVITAS will inspire and lead as a product among customers and industry alike.”
