Renault Kwid Facelift Launched At Starting Price Of Rs 2.83 Lakh

Renault has launched the Kwid facelift in India, with prices starting at Rs 2.83 lakhs (ex-showroom, Delhi). The Kwid facelift's design has been inspired by the Renault K-ZE City, which is a China-spec all-electric hatchback. This model gets lot of cosmetic updates on both interior and exterior. Renault is also offering the Kwid with a total of six shades along with the new Zanskar Blue colour option and eight variants.

  • Kwid STD 0.8L MT: Rs 2.83 lakhs
  • Kwid RXE 0.8L MT: Rs 3.53 lakhs
  • Kwid RXL 0.8L MT: Rs 3.83 lakhs
  • Kwid RXT 0.8L MT: Rs 4.13 lakhs
  • Kwid RXT 1.0L MT: Rs 4.33 lakhs
  • Kwid RXT 1.0L AMT: Rs 4.63 lakhs
  • Kwid Climber RXT 1.0L MT: Rs 4.54 lakhs
  • Kwid Climber 1.0L AMT: 4.84 lakhs

The Renault Kwid facelift gets a sleek LED DRLs in place of the headlamps, while the lights are placed lower below on the bumper, new grill and new alloy wheel. The rear profile remains largely unchanged, while the taillights get an LED signature. The ground clearance has gone up by 4mm to 184mm. Inside, it gets the 8-inch touchscreen infotainment unit with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto from the Triber and  new igital instrument cluster. 

Mechanically, this model remains the same 0.8L and 1.0L petrol engines. The 1.0 liter, 3- cylinder, 999cc engine delivers the power of 67 Bhp and torque of 91 Nm. And, 0.8 liter, 3- cylinder, 799cc engine delivers the power of 54 Bhp and torque of 72 Nm.  It will come mated to a five-speed manual transmission as standard whereas an AMT is optional for the 1.0-litre unit. Renault has also repositioned the AMT rotary dial from the dashboard to the floor.  The new 2019 Kwid will rival against the Datsun redi-GO, Hyundai Snatro and recently launched Maruti Suzuki S-Presso.
