Ford India has revealed the all new Freestyle cross hatch in India few days back. Now, Ford has released its brochure, in Ford's official website. Ford called this model as Indias first CUV (Compact Utility Vehicle). And this model available with only manual transmission option, but gets ABS with EBD and dual front airbags as standard. This model totally available in eight variants 4 with petrol and 4 with diesel.  This model is developed base on Figo with some cosmetic updates on both interior and exterior and expect to hit the roads in the second quarter of 2018.

The Freestyle Cross have side cladding with faux skid plates, new black grill, redesigned front and rear bumpers, new roof rails and new 15-inch alloy wheels. This model have latest Ford’s grille design that we’ve already seen on the new European Fiesta. And the interior design have lot of changes compared to figo. This model have free-standing touchscreen infotainment system like the one seen on the EcoSport facelift. Freestyle is equipped with six airbags, ABS with EBD, ESC (electronic stability control), TCS (traction control system) and new active rollover prevention.

Mechanically, this model reamins the same 1.5-litre, TDCi diesel engine and new 1.2-litre, 3-cylinder Dragon series petrol engine. The 1.2 liter Dragon petrol engine delivers 96PS of power and 120Nm of peak torque. It the most powerful 1.2-litre, naturally-aspirated petrol engine in the Indian market. And 1.5 liter diesel engine delivers 100PS of power and 215Nm of torque. And this model available with 5-speed manual transmission. As per ARAI certid=fication, petrol model gives 19Kmpl of mileage and diesel model gives 24.4kmpl mileage.

The Freestyle Cross will compete against the likes of the Hyundai i20 Active, VW Cross Polo and the Fiat Avventura.
