Mitsubishi has officially started accepting pre-launch bookings of the third-generation Outlander SUV in India. And the dealers are accepting bookings for an amount of Rs 5 lakhs. The new third-gen Outlander was debut in 2015 at the New York Motor Show. The second-gen Outlander was discontinued from India in 2012 as it was globally phased out.

Mechanically, Outlander is comes with 2.4-litre naturally aspirated inline four-cylinder petrol engine, that makes 165bhp of power and 222Nm of torque. This model comes mated to a CVT automatic gearbox with paddle shifters and torque-on-demand all-wheel drive system. It  will be offered in just one fully loaded trim which gets the dual-zone climate control, leather seats and etc,. 

Mitsubishi Outlander is expected to be priced somewhere around Rs 25 lakh. It's most likely to be a CBU (completely built unit). This model will compete against the rivals like Volkswagen Tiguan, Hyundai Tucson and the Honda CR-V.
