Mercedes-Benz India has launched the AMG version of E63 S in India with price tag of Rs 1.5 crore (ex-showroom pan-India). This is the most powerful version of their E-Class executive sedan models. Mercedes has already sold E200, E220d and E350d in the Indian car market.
Mercedes-Benz E 63 S AMG powered by by the same 4.0-litre twin-turbocharged V8 engine from the Mercedes-AMG GT R. It delivers the maximum power of 610 Bhp and torque of 850 Nm. The power is transferred to the all-wheels through the nine-speed AMG Speedshift gearbox and advanced 4Matic+ all-wheel drive system. It crosses the 0-100 kmph speed with in time of 3.4 seconds. And it's limited to 250kmph top-speed for safety reasons. This model have 4 drive modes such as Comfort, Sport, Sport Plus and Individual.
Apart from the engine, the new Mercedes-Benz E 63 S AMG gets some cosmetic updates in both interior and exterior. It gets new front and rear bumpers, new grill, new bigger 20-inch alloy wheels, new boot spoiler, redesigned the bonnet and etc,. This model also gets a flat-bottom sports steering wheel, twin LCD screens one for the instrument cluster and the other for the infotainment system with the Meriden audio system. The new Mercedes-Benz E 63 S AMG competes with the rivals like BMW M5 and the Audi RS7.
