Maruti Suzuki Alto has crossed a new milestone with 35 lakh cumulative unit sales. The Alto is the India’s best-selling car for last 14 consecutive years. In 2008, Alto has crossed the 10 lakh unit sales, After every year, Maruti Suzuki has sold approximately 2.5 lakh units. 

The Alto is available with 0.8 liter and 1.0 liter engine options. The 0.8 liter engine delivers the power of 47.3 bhp (6000 rpm) and torque of 69Nm (3500 rpm). And, 1.0 liter engine delivers the power of 67.1 bhp (6000 rpm) and torque of 90Nm (3500 rpm). The 1.0 liter model available with AMT transmission option also. In 2017-18 year, the Alto holds a market share of 33 per cent.
