Mahindra XUV300 Scores Five Star Rating In Global NCAP

Mahindra XUV300 has secured a perfect five-star rating in adult occupant safety in the Global NCAP crash tests. It also received four stars in child occupant safety. And, It is the first Indian vehicle to score 4 stars in child occupant safety. This is the third made in India car scored five star rating in Global NCAP. 
 

The vehicle tested was the entry-level variant of the XUV300 that is offered with standard safety features like driver and co-driver airbag, ISOFIX child seat anchorages, and ABS with EBD. This model also comes with Electronic Stability Control (ESC) and 7 airbags in top variants. 

Mechanically, the XUV300 powered by a 1.2-litre petrol engine and a 1.5-litre diesel unit from Marazzo. Petrol engine produces 110bhp of power at 5000rpm and 200Nm of torque at 2000-3500rpm. And, diesel engine produces 115bhp of power at 3750rpm and 300Nm of torque at 1500-2500rpm. Both engines will be available with a 6-speed manual transmission only. And, this model will be available in four different variants - W4, W6, W8 and W8 (O) with six color options such as Red rage, Sun burst orange, Pearl white, Napoli black, Dsat silver and Aquamarine.
