MG Hector Officially Unveiled In India

MG Motors has officially revealed its first offering for the Indian market, the Hector at special event. The SUV will be launched next month and bookings are set to commence in first week of June. However, MG Motor will announce the exact launch date  in coming dates. This model available in four variants - Style, Super, Smart and Sharp.

The MG Hector SUV shares its underpinnings and body panels with the Baojun 530 SUV. In terms of features, MG Hector gets the lot of features such as premium upholstery, a 360-degree camera, panoramic sunroof, LED DRLs, projector headlamps, multi-spoke alloys, connected tail lamp design, front parking sensors and more. Hector also gets the large 10.4-inch vertically mounted infotainment system. This system get one inbuilt simcard for install and update the apps. This system also have real-time traffic with navigation, along with car health status and diagnosis. It is 4,655mm long, 1,835mm wide and 1,760mm tall. The SUV has a wheelbase of 2,750mm and the ground clearance stands at 192mm. 

Mechanically, MG Hector SUV will be offered with a 2.0-litre diesel and 1.5-litre petrol-hybrid engine options. The 1.5L turbo-petrol motor makes 141bhp and 250Nm and is available with a six-speed manual as well as DCT automatic transmissions. The hybrid system available only in manual petrol engineoption alone. The diesel unit is the same as the Jeep Compass, it developes 173PS of power and 350Nm of torque. And, the diesel engine will available only with 6-speed manual transmission. And, MG Hector will expect to be priced around Rs 20 lakhs.
