Land Rover has announced price cuts of its popular entry-level SUVs – the Discovery Sport and the Range Rover Evoque about Rs 4 lakh and Rs 3 lakh, respectively. At a time when carmakers are hiking their cars’ prices, JLR has come up with what’s probably the highest price slash it has ever offered on its SUVs yet in the country. And also the Range Rover Vogue gets a stupendous Rs 50 lakh cut in prices, while the Range Rover Sport attracts Rs 30 lakh off.

The Land Rover Range Rover Evoque gets the new 2.0 liter ngenium diesel engine, that also powers the Jaguar XF. The four-cylinder engine produces 180PS of power and 430Nm of torque. This model have 9 speed automatic gear box and four wheel drive. This model achieved max speed of 195Kmph and crosses the 100 Kmph speed with in 8.5 secons.

Land Rover Discovery Sport available with 2.2-litre TD4 and SD4 diesel engine and 2.0 liter petrol engine options. The 2.2-litre TD4 engine delivers the power of 150 bhp and torque of 400 Nm. And, 2.2-litre SD4 engine delivers the power of 190 bhp and torque of 400 Nm. And 2.0 liter petrol engine delivers the power of 237 bhp and torque of 340 Nm. With such astonishing decrease in prices, the JLR SUVs are now better armed to take on their German and Swedish rivals.
