British luxury SUV maker Land Rover has finally announced the launch date of of the all new Velar. The official launch will happen on January 20, 2018. The Land Rover is already revealed the the price details of the car in India. This model is priced from Rs 78.83 lakh and goes up to Rs 1.24 crore(ex-showroom India). The new SUV was placed in between the Evoque and the Range Rover Sport. This model first introduced in 2017 Geneva Motor show. The Velar is available across 25 variants with two diesel and one petrol engine options.

The Velar is the fourth model in the Range Rover family with typical Range rover design philosophy. This new SUV measures 4,803mm in length, 2,145mm wide and 1,665mm in height with a wheelbase of 2,874mm. This model have lot of features like panoramic sunroof, individual zone climate control, Touch-Pro Duo infotainment system, 20-way adjustment seat, heating/cooling facility in seats and etc,.

Mechanically, this model available with 2.0-litre D180 Ingenium diesel, 3.0-litre D300 diesel engine and 2.0-litre P250 petrol engine options. The 2.0-litre D180 Ingenium diesel engine delivers 177bhp of power and 430Nm of torque, 3.0-litre D300 diesel engine delivers 296bhp of power and 700Nm of torque and 2.0-litre P250 petrol engine delivers 246bhp of power and 400Nm of torque. All the engines mated with ZF eight-speed automatic gearbox. And also this model have Land Rover’s Terrain Response system with driving modes of Eco, Comfort, Grass-Gravel-Snow, Mud-Ruts, Sand, and Dynamic. This model will compete against the Audi Q7, Volvo XC90 and the Mercedes-Benz GLS.
