Hyundai has launched the much awaited all new Venue Compact SUV in India with starting price of Rs 6.50 lakh (ex-showroom India). And, this model expect to give tough competetion to its rivales like Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza, Tata Nexon, Ford EcoSport, Honda WR-V, Mahindra TUV300 and the recently launched XUV300.

The Venue looks bold and boxy, but with smooth edges. This model shares some design elements with Hyundai Kona anad Creta. And, this model looks like mini Creta. In terms of exterior, Venue gets the LED DRLs surrounded projector headlamps, projector fog lamps, LED tail lamps, sunroof, new casecade grill and etc,. And, this model gets the lot of safety features like six airbags, hill assist control, electronic stability control, vehicle stability management, ISOFIX child seat mounts, brake assist, ABS with EBD, front passenger seatbelt reminders and etc,. Interms of interior, this model gets the 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Hyundai's new connected car technology called BlueLink, automatic climate control, cruise control, wireless charging and etc,. The BlueLink tech uses an eSIM from Vodafone-Idea for internet access. This tech have 33 features including 10 India-specific features.

The Hyundai Venue measures 3995mm in length, 1770mm in width and 1590mm in height, while the wheelbase is 2500mm. Mechanically, this model available with three powertrain options - 1.0-litre turbo-petrol, 1.2-litre petrol and 1.4-liter diesel. The 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engine produces 120PS of power and 172Nm of torque while mated to a 6-speed manual or 7-speed dual-clutch transmission. The 1.2-litre petrol unit produces 83PS and 115Nm while mated to a 5-speed manual. And, the 1.4-diesel engine produces 90PS of power and 220Nm of torque while mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox. Sadly, diesel engine will not be offered with an automatic gearbox.
