Hyundai Aura Launched In India At Starting Price Of Rs 5.79 Lakhs

Hyundai has launched a new sub-4 metre sedan in India called the Aura, with prices ranging between Rs 5.80 lakh to Rs 9.23 lakh (both, ex-showroom India).. It is offered in 12 variants and six colour schemes across three engine and two gearbox options. Hyundai Aura is the sedan version of the recently launched Hyundai Grand i10 NIOS.

Mostly, the exterior and interior design of the all new Hyundai Aura remains the same as its hatchback sibling, Hyundai Grand i10 NIOS. Hyundai Aura gets a similar grille design as seen on the Grand i10 Nios, with integrated boomerang shaped LED DRL. The rear half of the sedan is quite similar to the Elantra facelift. This model gets the lot of features like Grand i10 NIOS such as projector head lamps, LED day time running lights,Airbag, ABS and etc,. The Aura’s interior is pretty much similat to the Grand i10 Nios, but it offered with two color schemes - black and brown. The Aura is 3995mm long, 1680mm wide, 1520mm tall and has a 2450mm long wheelbase. Its boot offers 402 litres of space.

The Hyundai Aura gets the same 1.2-litre petrol and diesel engines from Grand i10 NIOS along with new 1.0-litre turbo-petrol unit from Venue but with different state of power tune. The 1.2-litre petrol engine delivers 83PS of power and 114Nm of torque, 1.0-litre turbo petrol engine produces 100PS and 172Nm of torque and 1.2-litre diesel engine delivers 75PS of power and 190Nm of torque. The 1.2-litre units can be had with either a five-speed manual/five-speed automated manual. And, the 1.0 liter turbo petrol unit only gets a manual five-speed gearbox.

Hyundai Aura will rival against the likes of the Maruti Suzuki Dzire, Tata Tigor, Ford Aspire, Volkswagen Ameo and the Honda Amaze.
