Honda Issued Recall For City, Jazz And Accord

Honda India has issued a voluntary recall for City, Jazz And Accord, manufactured in 2013 to fix faulty Takata airbag inflators. The recall includes 510 units of the Accord, 240 units of the Jazz and 22,084 units of the City. 

To find out your car is in the list or not, you can submit your17 character alphanumeric Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) on the company’s official website or contact nearest dealership. However, Honda will be contacting the affected customers seperately in a phased manner to conduct repairs free of cost.

Because of defective front airbag inflators, it may deploy on their own due to excessive internal pressure. It resulting in injury to the vehicle occupants. Companies like BMW, Chrysler, Ford, Honda, Mazda, Nissan and Toyota were already issued a  recall over 30 lakh vehicles for the same Takada airbag issue.
