BMW has launched the 2019 Z4 Roadster in India at starting price of Rs 64.90 Lakhs(ex-showroom India). This model is available in two engine options - the sDrive20i and the BMW M Performance model, the M40i, which are priced at Rs 64.90 lakh and Rs 78.90 lakh (both, ex-showroom India), respectively. The BMW Z4 Roadster is available across all BMW dealerships in India as a Completely Built-Up Unit (CBU). 

Mechanically, the Z4 sDrive20i is powered by a 2.0-litre inline four-cylinder turbo petrol engine that produces 194bhp of power and 320Nm of torque. which can sprint it from 0-100kmph in 6.6 seconds.  The M Sport package variant, the Z4 M40i is powered by a 3.0-litre in-line six-cylinder twin turbo engine that produces a total power of 335bhp and a maximum torque of 500Nm, which can sprint it from 0-100kmph in just 4.5 seconds. The both engines come mated to the eight-speed Steptronic sport transmission and power transfered to rear wheels. 

Interms of safety, the Z4 gets four airbags, ABS with brake assist, dynamic stability control, dynamic traction control, corner braking control, side-impact protection, electronic vehicle immobilizer, crash sensor and more. The BMW Z4 Roadster alos gets the 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, new mesh grille, distinctive vertically aligned LED headlights, slim LED taillights, 12-speaker Harman Kardon and more. The company claims that the electric soft-top opens in a 10 seconds. The BMW Z4 goes up against the likes of  Mercedes-Benz SLC and Porsche 718 Boxster in India.
