Mini India has launched the 2018 Countryman  in India at starting price of Rs 34.90 lakhs (ex-showroom, Pan-India).  It is available in a choice of two petrol and one diesel variant. The second-generation Countryman was showcased at the Auto Expo 2018.

The second-gen Countryman is longer by 200mm, wider by 30mm and more wheelbase by 75mm than its previous model. Because of exterior changes, luggage capacity has increased by 30 per cent to 450 litres, which can be expanded by folding the seats to 1309 litres. This new model have lot of features such as 19-inch wheels, LED tail lights, twin exhausts, 6.5-inch infotainment system, two-zone climate control, front and rear parking sensors, parking camera, brake assist, ABS, stability control, cornering brake control, electric parking brake and etc,. The Countryman Cooper S JCW Inspired model get the JCW interior and exterior, JCW Aerodynamic kit, CW Sport steering wheel, 8.8-inch infotainment system with MINI Navigation System and etc,.

Mechanically, this model available with 2.0-litre petrol and diesel engine options. 2.0-litre petrol engine delivers the power of 192bhp and torque of 280Nm. The 2.0-litre twin turbo four-cylinder diesel engine delivers 190bhp of power and 400Nm of torque. And, it mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission as standard. The second-generation Countryman shares its platform with the BMW X1.
