Mahindra has launched the 2018 XUV500 facelift in India at a starting price of Rs 12.32 lakh, which goes all the way up to Rs 17.88 lakh (ex-showroom Mumbai). And the new 2018 XUV get some cosmetic updates on both interior and exterior. And this model also gets the performance updates.

2018 Mahindra XUV500 Facelift gets the bunch of cosmetic updates like a new radiator grille, new projector headlamps with new LED daytime running lights, new front bumper, new alloys, new taillamp units, restyled tailgate, larger number plate housing, new rear bumper, new roof-mounted spoiler with integrated brake light and etc,. On the inside, it receives faux leather trim on top of the dashboard and seats get tan leather upholstery. The 7-inch infotainment system remains unchanged as well.
Mechanically, this model remais the same 2.2 liter mHawk diesel engine. But, this engine tuned to make more power and torque. This new engine delivers the power of 155 bhp (3750 rpm) and torque of 360Nm (1750-2800 rpm), it produces 15PS of power and 30Nm of torque more compared to previous engine. This is achieved by a new electronically controlled variable geometry turbocharger. The diesel engine is available with 6-speed manual and automatic transmission options. This model also available with same 2.2 liter petrol engine. This engine hasn’t undergone any change in terms of power (140PS) and torque (320Nm) and comes with the 6-speed automatic gearbox only.
The new 2018 XUV500 will compete against the rivals like Tata Hexa, Jeep Compass and Renault Captur.
