The American carmaker Ford has launched the facelifted version of the EcoSport with starting Delhi ex-showroom price of Rs 7.31 lakh. This new model gets some cosmetic updates, new petrol engine and a 6-speed automatic transmission with paddle shifters. This compact SUV was already exported from Ford's Chennai plant to Brazilian market. 

Ford has updated some cosmetic elements. And big chunkier chrome grille is given in front. There is not big change in rear and side profiles. Importantly, ford remove the spare wheel from rear. Ford has completely overhauled the cabin, which perhaps will be the highlight of the facelifted EcoSport. It now features a brand-new steering wheel, twin-dial instrument cluster,  center console, new touch screen system and etc,. 

Mechanically, this model available with 1.5 liter petrol and diesel engine options. The 1497cc petrol engine delivers the power of 123Bhp @6500rpm and torque of 150Nm @4500rpm. And other hand, diesel engine delivers the power of 100Bhp @3750rpm and torque of 205Nm @1750-3250rpm. Both of these engines are available with 5 speed manual transmission and also petrol engine additionally available with new 6 speed torque converter automatic with paddle shifters unit. And the previous 1.0-litre, turbocharged engine was discountinued. This new EcoSport compete against the Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza, the TUV 300 and the recently launched Tata Nexon.
