Yamaha has launched its much awaited entry-level performance naked bike, the MT-15 in India at Rs 1.36 lakh (ex-showroom Chennai).  This is the naked version model of Yamaha YZF-R15 V3.0. This is Rs 3,350 more affordable than its fully faired sibiling, the R15 V3.0. And, The MT-15 is India’s first 150cc street naked motorcycle with a liquid-cooled engine.

This model gets the lot of design elements from its elder sibilings MT-09 and MT-10. Mechanically, this model gets the same 150cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder motor gets variable valve actuation (VVA). It delivers the 19.3PS of power at 10,000rpm and 14.7Nm of torque and is paired to a 6-speed transmission with assist and slipper clutch. And braking duties are carried by 282mm disc brake at front and 220mm disc brake at rear along with single-channel ABS. Currently, this model have one and only competitor, the KTM Duke 125.
