Yamaha FZ-FI And FZS-FI BS6 Variants Launched In India At Starting Price Of Rs 1,00,199

India Yamaha Motors has launched the new BS6 compliant variant of FZ Fi Version 3.0 and FZ-S Fi Version 3.0 in India at chennai showroom price of Rs 1,00,199 and Rs 1,02,199 respectively. The company has also introduced two new colour schemes for the FZ S model named Darknight and Metallic Red. But, the Darknight version demands a slightly higher price tag of Rs 1,03,699. On the cosmetic front, both motorcycles remain the same.

Mechanically, these models continues to be the same 149cc single-cylinder air-cooled unit with fuel-injection. But, now it comes with BS-VI compliant. The addition of larger catalytic converter and other components to meet the more stringent norms have resulted in a slight change in the power figures. This BS6 engin delivers 12.2bhp at 7,250rpm of power and 13.6Nm at 5,500rpm of torque. While the BS-IV versions churns out 13bhp at 8,000rpm and 12.8Nm at 6,000rpm.

Transmission duties continue to be handled by a five-speed gearbox. Braking is done by disc brakes at both ends along with single-channel ABS. The FZ V3 and FZ S V3 are the first products in Yamaha’s product portfolio to receive the BS-VI update.
