Royal Enfield Classic 500 Pegasus Edition Booking Postponed

Royal Enfield was started bookings for Classic 500 Pegasus Edition motorcycle in India 10 July 2018 at 2.00 pm on Royal Enfield's website. But, Royal Enfield’s website crashed minutes after bookings officially opened due to overwhelming response from people. So, the booking has been postponed.

Royal Enfield has launched the the Classic 500 Pegasus limited edition in India at Rs 2.49 lakhs (on-road) few days back. And this model was first revealed in England. The Pegasus is inspired by the legendary Royal Enfield RE/W 125 motorcycle which was used in second world war. This model Produced in a limited run of just 1,000 units worldwide. And also, the 250 units will be sold in India.

The lightweight 125cc two-stroke RE/WD motorcycle, capable of being deployed behind enemy lines via parachutes. It served as a mode of transport for the forward units of the Airborne Pegasus unit. And this model also called as the 'Flying Flea’.

Royal Enfield Classic 500 Pegasus special edition have the additional ‘Pegasus’ logo on fuel tank, military-style canvas panniers with the ‘Pegasus’ logo, brown handlebar grips, a leather strap with brass buckles across the air filter. Mechanically, this model remails the same 1-cylinder and 499 cc capacity engine. This petrol engine delivers the power of 27.2 bhp (5250rpm) and torque of 41.3 NM (4000rpm).

Internationally, the Classic 500 Pegasus is available in two matte colours - Service Brown and Olive Drab Green. And, In India Service Brown color option only available around 250 units. The Pegasus is priced at a premium of Rs 40,000 over the standard model.
