Royal Enfield Interceptor 650 And Continental GT 650 To Be Launched Today

Royal Enfield will going to launch the much awaited 650cc bikes, The Interceptor 650 And Continental GT 650 in California on today. And we expect, these models wil hit Indian roads after couple of months of international launch. But, as per recent news from company management hints that, Royal Enfield 650 twins India launch get delayed some more months. These models were first revealed in 2017 EICMA Motorcycle Show at Milan, Italy. The Interceptor is an old-school roadster style motorcycle while the Continental GT 650 is the café racer style model.

Both of these models share the chassis and the engine. And these mode have the all new 648 cc parallel-twin motor with a 270 degree firing order. And this engine delivers 47 bhp @ 7,100 rpm of power and 52 Nm @ 4,000 rpm of peak torque. To gives out the good and pleasant vibrations, Royal Enfield choose 270 degree crank. Royal Enfield built three 650 cc parallel engine prototypes with three different crank setups and finally chose the 270 degree firing order.

The new Continental GT 650 and old ongoing Continental GT 500 looks similer but, Royal Enfield told 95% of components are different. Both models have 320mm disc brake at front and 240mm disc brake at the back. And its also gets dual-channel ABS. These model also have Ground clearance of 174mm. The new bikes will expect to be priced between Rs 3 to 3.5 lakhs.
