India's First Electric MotorbikeTork T6X Revealed

Pune based Tork Motors has unveiled the first electric motorcycle of the country the Tork T6X which has been priced at just Rs 1.25 lakh.

Tork Motorcycles was founded in 2009 by Kapil Shelke. Its not a well known company in automobile industry but its very known in motorcycle racing especially Isle of Man TTX-GP or the TTX-GP Championship. After seven years of extensive research and development, Tork Motors finally revealed the T6X. Tork Motorcycles claims the T6X will have over 100km range in a single full charge and can run at a top speed of 100km/h. Powered by lithium-ion batteries, the battery can be charged up to 80 per cent in an hour while full charging takes two hours.

Depending upon the usage of the bike, the battery life can last up to 80,000 - 1,00,000 km. The system has been engineered to deliver 27Nm of peak torque. In the first phase, the bike will be introduced in three markets including Pune, Bangalore and Delhi.
