In the year 2017 lot of new and facelifted scooter models were launched in India. We will see the five best scooter models were launched in India on 2017. In recent times, the scooter model sales approximately equal to the motor bikes.

Honda Grazia

Honda has told, this model was designed mainly to attract the yougers.  The new Grazia gets a large body-mounted headlamp with large turn indicators and LED tail laights. This model looks similer to Honda’s 110cc scooter, the Dio. And this model have full digital instrument cluster. And the Grazia available in six color shades - Neo Orange Metallic, Pearl Nightstar Black, Pearl Spartan Red, Pearl Amazing White, Matte Axis Grey Metallic and Matte Marvel Blue Metallic. 

Mechanically, this model have 124.9cc air-cooled single-cylinder engine. This enginr delivers 8.52 bhp (6500 rpm)  of power and  10.54 Nm (5000rpm) of torque. Braking duties are carried by 130mm drum brakes on both wheels and front gets 130mm disc brake as option. Combi Brake System (CBS) is standard. And, this model available in three variants - STD, Dlx and Alloy. The Grazia will be Honda’s flagship scooter in India.

Honda Cliq

The Cliq is designed in newly and differently. The Cliq gets a lot of space to use for carrying heavy loads, which also explains the flat footboard. The scooter is powered by Honda’s trusted 110cc HET engine which develops 8PS @ 7000rpm and a peak torque of 8.94Nm @ 5500rpm.  Honda claims a top speed of 83kmph.  Braking duties are handled by 130mm drum brakes both at the front and the rear, equipped with Combined Braking System (CBS) with equalizer technology.  The scooter also gets a mobile charging socket in the storage compartment. The Cliq is offered in four colours – Patriot Red, Moroccan Blue, Orcus Grey and Black. The company also provides an extra rear grabrail as an optional accessory, which can be mounted to carry extra material at the rear.

Suzuki Lets

Suzuki has launched the Lets scooter with new dual tone color options priced at RS 48,193 (ex showroom). The scooter now comes in three new additional dual tone options, which include Royal Blue/ Matte Black (BNU), Orange/ Matte Black (GTW) and Glass Sparkle Black (YVB). 

In this model, the 1-cylinder and 112.8 cc capacity engine is fitted. This petrol engine delivers the power of   8.5 bhp (7500rpm)and torque of 8.8 NM (6500rpm). As per ARAI certification, this model gives mileage of 63 Kmpl. 

This model is available with Chennai ex-showroom price of Rs 51,423. 

TVS Jupiter Classic Edition

This model have some cosmetic updates and some chrome decales to give classic style appearance. The Jupiter Classic Edition gets a new paint job dubbed 'Sunlit Ivory.' The scooter gets round chrome mirrors and the instrument cluster dials also get a classic design.

Mechanically, the scooter remains unchanged, the 1-cylinder and 109.7 cc capacity engine is fitted. This petrol engine delivers the power of 7.88 bhp (7500 rpm)and torque of 8 Nm (5500rpm). As per ARAI certification, this model gives mileage of 62 Kmpl. This scooter has capable of crossing the speed of 60Kmph within 9 to 10 seconds. And this scooter reaches the top speed of 75 to 80 Kmph.

2017 Honda Dio

The major visual update on the 2017 Honda Dio is an LED positioning lamp that has been incorporated on the handlebar cowl. This scooter also gets new graphics, stylishly carved tail light and new colors too. This model gets some new features also such as all-new instrument panel, wide seat, Combi Brake System (CBS) with Equalizer,  Automatic Headlamp On (AHO), tubeless tyres and a mobile charging socket. 

Powering the new Dio is the same 109.2 cc single cylinder engine. However, the motor has been updated to meet the stringent BS-IV emission standards.  It delivers the power of  8 bhp and torque of   8.9 Nm. 2017 Honda Dio has been made available in five attractive dual-tone colour options, namely Pearl Sports Yellow, Vibrant Orange, Sports Red, Matte Axis Grey Metallic and Candy Jazzy Blue. 

This model is available with Chennai ex-showroom price of Rs 52,093.
