India's first smart electric scooter, Ather S340 was revealed few months back. The electric two-wheeler startup Ather Energy was started by two IIT engineers. And it has backed by Hero MotoCorp with an investment of Rs 180 crore. Now, The Ather S340 bookings for the same will commence in June. Sales will be limited to Bengaluru initially, expanding to other parts of the country soon. 

The Ather S340 comes equipped a 7-inch touchscreen instrument console which has lot of features like parking assist, smartphone connectivity, navigation assist, push navigation, and vehicle charging point tracker. It also has CBS braking syste, LED lighting, underseat storage light and etc,. The Ather S340 is powered by a lithium-ion battery which can able to run up to 50,000km. And, it takes about 50 minutes to charge up the scooter to 80 per cent.  This model have claimed top speed of 72kmph. 

This model will expect to hit the roads dbefore end of this year. And also, we will expect some test drive centers in couple of months. The first centre will be started in Indira Nagar, Bengaluru. The price of this model will expect very less compared to other manufacturers.
