Bengalure Based electric two-wheeler startup Ather Energy will expect to begin its Chennai operations from June 2019. The manufacturer was first launched its electric scooters in Bengaluru last year. And, manufacturer had two smart electric scooters in its lineup - Ather 340 and Ather 450. Prices for both the scooters may vary for Chennai. And, Ather will also have plan to introduce its charging infrastructure in Chennai. 

The Ather 340 comes equipped a 7-inch touchscreen instrument console which has lot of features like parking assist, smartphone connectivity, navigation assist, push navigation, and vehicle charging point tracker. It also has CBS braking syste, LED lighting, underseat storage light and etc,. The Ather S340 is powered by a lithium-ion battery which can able to run up to 50,000km. And, it takes about 50 minutes to charge up the scooter to 80 per cent.

The Ather 340 has claimed top speed of 70kmph and sprint 0-40 kmph with in 5.1 seconds. And, it have range of 60km. And other hand, the Ather 450 has claimed top speed of 80kmph and sprint 0-40 kmph with in 3.9 seconds. And, it have range of 75km.
