Porsche has revealed the new generation 911 Carrera on ongoing 2018 LA  Auto Show. This is the eighth generation model of Porsche 911, and it named as 992. In terms of the exterior design, this model not get any massive update and it retains the same classic look, but It’s a bit bigger than previous model. This model showcased in two variants - Carrera S and Carrera 4S. 

The interior design get lot of changes and lot of new features. The center consol get new 10.9-inch centre screen with Porsche Communication Management (PCM) system. Mechanically, this model powered by the 3.0-litre turbocharged flat six engine which delivers the power of 450PS of power and 530Nm of torque. This is 30PS more than previous model. And, this power transfered to wheels via new 8-speed PDK gearbox. The AWD Carrera 4S to do 0-100kph in 3.6 seconds while the RWD Carrera S variants takes 3.7 seconds. That makes these new model 0.4 seconds quicker than their previous iterations.

Porsche has introduced a new ‘Wet’  driving mode which detects water on the road surface as standard. The new Porsche 911 Carrera also get lot of safety features like Night Vision Assist with a thermal imaging camera, adaptive cruise-control, autonomous emergency assist and etc,. The new-gen Porsche 911 Carrera will expect to arrive in India around mid of 2019.
