Mahindra has finally launched the much awaited premium SUV, Alturas G4 in India at starting price of Rs 26.95 lakhs. The Alturas G4 is available in two trim levels – 4x2 and 4x4 at respective price of Rs 26.95 lakhs and Rs 29.95 lakhs (ex-showroom all-India). This is the rebadged version of second-gen SsangYong Rexton and it was first showcased in 2018 Delhi Auto Expo. 

This model have lot of comfort features like Hi-Tech & Safety features like 8-way Powered Driver Seat with Memory Profile, Dual Zone FATC, 3D 360 degree Around View Camera, Electric sun roof and etc. The exterior design of this model give the rugged and maasive road presence. And this model have safety features of 9 airbags, Hill start assist, Hill descent control, Active roll over protection, Elctronic steability control and etc, The Alturas G4 is available through a separate high-end showroom within the Mahindra ‘World of SUVs’ with exclusive Relationship Managers. And, Mahindra has launch of Purple Club+, The Purple Club+ program is first-in-category loyalty program that would enable customers to earn and redeem points based on engagements with the brand.

Alturas G4 is the body-on-frame product like most of the other SUVs from Mahindra. Compared to previous generation model, the new model have an improved build quality and approximately 50kgs lighter than previous model. And this model offers better fuel economy and improved aerodynamic design. This model powered by a 2.2-litre diesel engine. It delivers the power of 178 Bhp and torque of 420Nm.  The transmission duties are carried by Mercedes-Benz sourced seven-speed torque converter. 

The Mahindra Alturas G4 will compete against the premium SUVs like Ford Endeavour and Toyota Fortuner. And, This is the flagship model from Mahindra.
