Volvo XC60 Launched In India With Price Of Rs 55.9 Lakh

Volvo has launched the second-gen XC60 in India with a ex-showroom price of Rs 55.9 lakh. The new XC60 is based on the SPA (scalable product architecture) platform which was already used for XC90, S90, and the V90. The newly launched SUV is available in a single ‘Inscription’ variant. 

This model looks same as elder sibiling XC90. But,with different in size figure. The XC60 will initially be imported to India as completely built-up unit (CBU) but Volvo plans to locally assemble it in the future. Its have all features as like international market. Because, its a CBU unit. Some features, heated steering wheel and heated seats aren’t really useful for Indian market. This model have lot of features include a 4-zone climate control, panoramic sunroof, adaptive cruise control, blind spot information system,  360-degree camera, park assist, drive modes, hill start assist and etc,. 

Mechanically, this model have 2.0-litre D5 diesel engine. Its delivers 235bhp of power and 480Nm of torque. This engine mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission that powers all four wheels. And this model have five drive modes - Eco, Comfort, Off Road, Dynamic and Individual. The new Volvo XC60 will give competition against rival like Mercedes-Benz GLC, Audi Q5 and BMW X3 in India.
