Volkswagen has announced that it will launch its mid-sized SUV, the Tiguan, on May 24. This model was introduced in 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show. And it was showcased in India at the 2016 Auto Expo.

The Tiguan is built on the new MQB platform that it shares with the Volkswagen group cars. The new MQB platform is flexible for EV applications as well. In this second generation model,  lot of changes have been made on the exterior. But, not much changes at interior. The numerous facilities available in this model such as 8-inch touch screen Audio System,Panoramic Sun roof, Automatic Climate Control and etc,.

There is no information about, with which engine it will be released in india. However, the 1.4-liter petrol and 1.6 liter diesel engine is expected to be released. The model is fitted with a 7-speed automatic transmission system.  This model expected to be launched at price range  from Rs 30 to 40 lakh.
