Volkswagen has  introduced the Polo with new 1.0-litre MPI petrol engine. The new 1.0-litre MPI engine replaces the 1.2-litre MPI unit in the existing Polo. The new engine is smaller but a bit more powerful than the existing 1.2-litre MPI engine. This1.0-litre petrol engine will also going to deployed in Ameo compact sedan.

The new 1.0-litre MPI petrol engine delivers the power of 76Bhp and torque of 95Nm. And this power is transfered to wheels via 5 speed manual gear box. And this engine have ARAI certified mileage of 18.78 Kmpl. This new engine have negligible rise of 1PS in power and drop of 15Nm in torque. However, fuel efficiency has risen by approximately 2kmpl.

Most importanly, Prices of all the Polo variants remain unchanged.
