Volkswagen has launched a new variant for its Polo hatchback and has named it the GT Sport. The new sport variant is available in both the GT TSI And GT TDI engine options. The additions to this car are all cosmetic only.

This model gets the new bigger 16-inch alloy wheels, blacked out roof, GT Sport decals on the side , a black coloured rear spoiler, black colour ORVM and all-black leatherette upholstery with ‘GT Sport’ embossed. Its available in two colour options, Flash red and Candy White.

Mechanically, it remains unaltered. Its available in same 1.2-litre turbocharged petrol and 1.5 liter diesel engine options. The petrol engine  delivers the power of 105 bhp (5000 rpm) and torque of 250Nm (1500-2500rpm). And diesel engine delivers the power of 108 bhp (5000 rpm) and torque of 175Nm (1500-4100rpm). The petrol engine  is mated to a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission and diesel engine is mated to a five-speed manual.
