Mini India has launched the 2018 version of  Mini Cooper models in India with starting price of Rs 29.7 lakh (ex-showroom, India). This model available in four variants - Cooper 3-door petrol and diesel, 5-door diesel and convertible petrol. The 2018 Cooper models have only few cosmetic updates. Mini was launched the 2018 Countryman in India a few weeks ago.

Variant Wise Price Details (all prices ex-showroom, India):

• MINI 3-door Cooper D (Diesel) - Rs 29.7 lakh
• MINI 3-door Cooper S (Petrol) - Rs 33.2 lakh
• MINI 5-door Cooper D (Diesel) - Rs 35 lakh
• MINI Convertible Cooper S (Petrol) - Rs 37.10 lakh

The 2018 Mini gets the piano-black finished LED headlights, the tail lamps and the radiator grille, The Mini Cooper finally gets the new Mini logo in India and the Union Jack inspired LED tail lamps. The interior design also get some updates with new piano-black finish. And this model also have multi-chrome LED ambient interior lighting standard 6.5-inch circular infotainment or optional 8.8-inch unit as well.  The 2018 Mini will be offered in three new exterior colors such as Emerald grey, Starlit blue and Solaris Orange. And you can also get the optional sunroof.

Mechanically, this model get the 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol and 1.5-litre three-cylinder diesel engine options. The petrol engine delivers 189bhp of power and 280Nm of torque. Power is sent to the front wheels through the 7-speed dual-clutch Steptronic gearbox and it can able to reach 100kmph in 6.7 seconds to a top speed of 235kmph. The diesel engine develops 112bhp of power and 270Nm of torque. This engine is oupled to  6-speed automatic transmission. And it have a claimed top speed of 205kmph and can go from 0-100kmph in 9.2 seconds. This model also have lot of safety features like dual front airbags, ABS, dynamic stability control, cornering brake control and etc,.
