Maruti Suzuki Unveils Next Gen Dzire

Maruti Suzuki has unveiled the third-generation of the best selling sedan in India, the Dzire. Maruti Suzuki will launch the new DZire on 16th May 2017. The new Dzire is built on Suzuki's new new-generation HEARTECT platform which also underpins the new Swift and Baleno. The hatch version, Swift model already in sale in Japan.

In front side, new hexagonal shaped front grille, new head lamps, new fog lamp room and in the rear side, new tail lights are brings an entirely new look for this model. Side body lines also slightly changed. Interior seems to be completely transferred with new dash board and new steering wheel. This is the first time Maruti Suzuki has gone for a flat-bottom steering wheel.

For India, the new Swift is expected to retain its 1.2-litre, K-Series petrol and 1.3-litre, DDiS, diesel engine.  Both the diesel and the petrol engines will now come paired with a 5-speed manual or an AGS transmission. And, this model is expected to be released with 1.0-liter booster jet engine.  The Dzire will be available in four grades at launch - L, V, Z and Z+. It will come with six exterior colours options - Oxford Blue, Sherwood Brown, Gallant Red, Magma Gray, Silky Silver and Arctic White. This model competes with the likes of the recently launched Tata Tigor and other compact sedans like the Ford Aspire, Volkswagen Ameo, Hyundai Xcent, Honda Amaze and the Tata Zest.
