Maruti Suzuki has launched the all new 2018 Ciaz in India with starting price of Rs 8.19 lakhs (ex-showroom Chennai). This model gets some cosmetic updates, additional features and with brand new 1.5-litre petrol engine. After four years of introduction, Maruti Suzuki Ciaz now gets the mid-life updates.

The 2018 Maruti Suzuki Ciaz gets the new front grill, new head lamps with day time LED unit, new front and rear bumpers, metal finish surrounded rear fog lamp, and etc,. The interior also gets some cosmetic updates and with 4.2-inch TFT screen. Along with new updates, this model also gets existing features such as cruise control, electric mirrors, keyless entry, automatic AC, reverse parking sensors, airbags and ABS with EBD.

Mechanically, this model gets the new 1.5-litre K15B petrol and existing Fiat sourced 1.3-litre DDiS diesel engine options. The petrol engine produces 103bhp at 6,000rpm of power and 138Nm at 4,400rpm of torque. The petrol engine is mated to a five-speed manual and a four-speed automatic transmission. The diesel motor 90bhp at 4000rpm of power and 200Nm at 1750rpm of torque. And its mated to five speed manual transmission.  The petrol engine has an ARAI claimed fuel efficiency of 21.56kmpl for manual and 21.28kmpl for AMT model. And diesel moter has 28.09kmpl milege. The new Maruti Suzuki Cias will compete agains the same existing rivals like Honda City, Hyundai Verna, Volkswagen Vento, Skoda Rapid and Toyota Yaris.
